About the Role As an Events Assistant at Ground Control, you'll support our PA to the MD providing essential administrative support to our teams while taking the lead on planning and coordinating events.
This role is perfect for a proactive individual who excels at multitasking and enjoys the variety of combining day-to-day administration with events management.
Administrative Support: Manage team calendars and schedules.
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
Handle correspondence, filing, and document preparation.
Assist in compiling reports and presentations.
Events Management: Plan and organise internal and external events, such as team-building activities, training sessions, and corporate events.
Liaise with venues, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure events run smoothly.
Manage event budgets and monitor expenditure.
Create post-event feedback reports to inform future planning.
May need to attend events and overnight stays.
Liaising with the Marketing team for Marketing Collateral and merchandise requirements for events.
Overseeing Volunteering Opportunities for staff at Ground Control The person: This is an exciting brand-new role for an experienced Administrator or Team Secretary with a solid experience in a busy corporate environment.
Whatever industry you have worked in you will need; Proven ability to organise and manage events of varying sizes.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
Works well under pressure.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle needed for travel Enthusiastic about sustainability and our company values.
This is a hybrid role between our Head office in Billericay, Essex and home.
