Oversight Board Member

Museum Development South East is looking for three more people to join the MDSE Oversight Board.
Do you share our commitment to an inclusive and dynamic museum sector?
We welcome voices from a range of backgrounds, knowledge and skills both within and outside of the traditional museum sector.
Do you experience working with  audiences, including education, organisational support services, freelancers, specialist networks and artistic or community practitioners ?
Most of all we are looking for people that believe in the plentiful role that museums can play within their community in service to civic society.
Commitments: Appointments for all three vacancies will initially be for three years with some members being asked  to remain for a further three years if the programme continues.
You will need to: • Attend four meetings per year.
Members will be sent agenda items and briefings prior to  meetings to review and/or comment.
At least one meeting will be an in-person, full day  meeting, likely to be at a museum or institution in or close to London.
Other meetings will be  online and take around 2 hours.
Board members are not paid but travel and out of pocket expenses will be covered.
• Other special work outside this may be requested if a working group or project research is  required.
Renumeration for additional time may be available
