Working Pattern: Permanent| Full Time We have an exciting opportunity for a Linesperson to join our Transmission Operations business based in Inverness supporting inspection and maintenance operations across the whole Scotland region.
The duties and responsibilities of the Operations Overhead Linesperson are: - Carrying out key inspection, maintenance & repair activities on our 132, 275 & 400kV Transmission overhead line networks.
- Responsible for the safety of yourself and colleagues, and act as ambassador for a strong safety culture in everything you do.
- Working outdoors in all weather, you may also be required to respond to emergency situations, we want to provide the best possible service to our stakeholders at all times.
- You may at times be required to work away from your base location area during the week and occasionally at weekends.
Overnight accommodation and/ or out of pocket allowances will be provided, there will also be a requirement to undertake out of hours stand by duties.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have: - Industry recognised OHL qualification and proven previous experience working at height on the electricity network.
- A qualification from a recognised overhead line training provider, experience and/ or a proven track record in construction, maintenance overhead line activities would be advantageous, however not essential as training will be provided.
- As this role requires travel to operational sites, a full UK driving license is desirable or willingness to obtain one upon application is acceptable and assistance can be provided.
- Knowledge of current business operations, maintenance activities, electrical systems and their geography would be beneficial but not essential as informative training will be provided.
- A high regard for safety, embedding yourself in our safety culture and adhering to guidelines in everything you do.
Be comfortable in challenging any unsafe behaviours or attitudes, in relation to any unsafe practices.
