Role Profile Perform a range of cleaning tasks throughout the centre including hoovering, dusting, polishing, damp wiping and mopping  Clean all surfaces: internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings Clean all sanitary areas: toilets and showers Refill and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels) To empty all bins, placing all rubbish, including boxes in the bins provided at the rear of the building.
Operate cleaning machinery such as dishwashers, Buffer.
To support the Oval teams with day to day tasks where appropriate and agreed with the manager.
To assist in keeping a full inventory of all cleaning equipment.
To assist in the implementation of risk assessments for all areas of work being carried out.
To ensure COSHH data is available and up to date for all cleaning products used, and to obtain material safety data sheets from suppliers.
To undertake COSHH risk assessments for use of each cleaning product.
To ensure that all cleaning equipment used is safe to do so, all cleaning equipment is PAT tested and serviced in line with manufacturer recommendations.
To order cleaning supplies through approved businesses as and when required.
To report repairs and maintenance in the Centre to the relevant staff/teams.
To display a positive attitude to your work and be a proactive member of the team Build and maintain good relationships with colleagues and customers Be willing to undertake appropriate training and keep knowledge up to date Person specificationKnowledge, Skills and Experience Essential Good general standard of education  Knowledge of cleaning products and their use Able to organise workload in an accurate and methodical manner Understanding of basic health & safety requirements Ability to communicate effectively  Ability to follow oral and written instructions  Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team  A flexible approach to work Desirable Knowledge of COSHH Regulations  An understanding of the need for policies, procedures, and processes in the workplace
