Salary: £60,000 + Benefits Hours: 40 Total Hours per week Contract: Permanent What we are looking for We are looking for an experienced leader, who can demonstrate a successful career within the construction industry.
Being an experienced designer is not essential for this role.
However, being able to evidence sound understanding and judgement of what is required at all stages of the design process of a project is key.
Your leadership will also be capable of ensuring the successful collaboration between various external design parties, whilst also coordinating with our established internal design and REVIT teams.
Day-to-day The main duties of a role is to manage the design process, promote integration of disciplines and select, manage, and appoint consultants /external designers to ensure that they perform in line with their deed and agreed scope of services.
Here is what your day may look like: Review consultant and contractor design outputs.
Co-ordinate outputs of all designers to identify and rectify gaps, clashes and inconsistencies and manage design approvals process.
Provide construction-conscious direction and instruction to consultant team during the different RIBA stages.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects at differing RIBA stages simultaneously.
Obtain and assess Consultant fee proposals and approve and manage fees through the duration of the project.
Manage the appointment of consultants and ensure that they perform in line with their deed and agreed scope of services.
Develop & monitor design programmes with the consultants to meet the agreed delivery dates.
Provide cost effective technical solutions.
Attend design team meetings and issue actions, with a strong client liaison bias.
Liaise with internal JBH design and pre-construction team to ensure consistency in company approach.

Can demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and meet targeted timeframes.

Strong understanding of M&E design principles and industry standards.
Ability to identify potential risks to projects and provide solutions.
