This exciting role involves working within Empower's highly regarded community Outreach Team covering Somerset, Devon, and Bristol.
You will be supporting children, families, and carers within the community and in times of crisis, supporting daily routines, providing mentor support, and helping young people and families to work through challenges.
By joining our bank team, you can also choose to work and cover shifts in our services and support our Foster Carers too!

You could be helping a baby or family in hospital, conducting supervised contact, or supporting a young person build their confidence.

To do this role you need to be kind and compassionate, but also not afraid of a challenge.
To make sure our children, young people and families are well cared for and supported, it is important that you have worked with or have some experience of caring for children and young people.
However, we don't expect you to know everything, and our team are friendly and supportive, and will be with you every step of the way.
Our bank roles are community-based roles, which means you will need to travel around to spend time with children, young people and their carers or visit the office.
Therefore, you will need to be able to drive and have access to a car, with business insurance.
This role is subject to the successful application having an enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.
The successful candidate will be required to pay upfront for their enhanced DBS check, this will be refunded once you have completed 100 hours of work.

Previous experience within a support work role with children, young people & families would be advantageous, along with NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Residential Childcare qualification.

Driving license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
