Role Description CFA UK is looking for Scotland based Outreach professional, preferably with some experience of investment sector to work on a fixed term consultancy basis.
The person should have senior level experience of working in the investment sector in Scotland and will focus on developing relationships with investment firms and facilitate connections that could promote and advocate for the investment sector in Scotland, raising the profile and showcasing the impact of the profession's work.
Key responsibilities will include: • Developing new leads and conducting meetings with Learning & Development / Early Careers / Sustainable Investing professionals within investment firms • Selling CFA UK sponsorship to firms • Working with Scottish Committee to coordinate its activities • Developing contacts at leading universities and business schools, partly with the aim of partnering on CFA UK and CFA Institute qualifications • Coordinating Chief Executive (CEO) and Director of Outreach (DoO) Scottish visits • Supporting a Scottish Advisory Council • Monthly summary report of activities provided to the DoO and CEO Qualifications and experience Experience of working at a senior level Scotland based investment management and financial services desirable Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills Experience in outreach and ideally event planning Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude Terms Duration: This consultancy contract is envisaged to be 6 months with a possible six-month extension if agreed by both parties in writing.
Period of notice: One months' notice Provision of services: Average of 1.5 day per week, with maximum 6 days per month.
Any increase in these hours will prior agreement.
Fee: Up to £150 per day, plus VAT if applicable, capped at £1,200 per calendar month, plus VAT if applicable
