Cornish Lithium is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Engagement and Outreach Co-Ordinator to join our team.
As we embark on the exciting next phase of our Trelavour Hard Rock Lithium Project, recently recognizsed as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project by the UK Government, you will help us foster meaningful relationships within the community and drive our outreach efforts.
As the Engagement and Outreach Co-Ordinator, your responsibilities will include: Engagement with the Community be regularly visiting community centers and groups, listening to local concerns, and amplifying their voices in our project consultations.
Assist in organizing outreach events, including major showcases like the Royal Cornwall Show, and support public consultations that ensure local stakeholders are actively involved.
Work closely with other members of the Team to develop and implement community engagement strategies and action plans that resonate with our audience.
Help create and deliver engaging educational sessions at the Trelavour Visitor Centre, inspiring future generations about the importance of lithium and sustainable practices.
Play an active role in supporting the Company's ESG initiatives by contributing to baseline studies and monitoring programs while acting as an ambassador for our commitment to sustainability.
Essential requirements: Full clean driving licence Excellent written and verbal communication skills Computer literate and familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Flexibility to represent Cornish Lithium at various community functions, some of which are held at the weekends and/or evenings Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK Desirable factors: Experience working in a related Department or Industry, with a good working knowledge of all aspects of stakeholder engagement and ESG Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization Experience or understanding of mining and environmental and social issues An understanding of the UK planning process would be an advantage Excellent communication skills Self-starter Ability to work on own initiative and be pro-active Strong competence in IT Salary and Hours We will be offering a competitive salary for this role dependant on experience.
