Job summary Outpatient Services are part of the Clinical Support Services Division and provide outpatient support for the other Divisions.
The Outpatient service is going through some exciting transformational changes and improvements.
This is your chance to make a difference to our patients and be at the forefront of an evolving service.
The successful candidate will be specifically interested in leading a clinical business unit during a period of change whilst still providing ongoing support to the other clinical business units.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the administrative services within outpatients and will work closely with the outpatient nursing team.
They will need to work closely with all outpatient stakeholders to ensure the service delivery is to the benefit of the patients.
There is a requirement to work Trust Wide as we provide services covering all our sites.

The successful candidate will provide senior leadership, operational management, strategic planning and lead service improvements within the outpatient clinical business unit.
The role will provide strong visible leadership ensuring that a culture of continuous and evidence-based improvement is embedded to provide a high quality, efficient, effective and patient-focused service against quality, financial and performance related objectives.
We are seeking an individual who embraces change, inspires and leads others and has experience of establishing and embedding new ways of working, in line with our Trust values.
The successful applicant will need to evidence they have experience of working in an outpatients operational environment with responsibilities for managing and sustaining targets.
About us Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment.
From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Pilgrim Hospital is situated beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area.
It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area.
It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire.
Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Person Specification Qualifications Essential First degree (BSc or BA) or equivalent experience Knowledge of health service management, including change management and workforce redesign Detailed knowledge of the NHS in the acute sector with up-to-date knowledge of medical/surgical specialities Evidence of CPD and commitment to future career development Skills and Knowledge Essential Ability to use IT packages Understanding of working with confidential information Understanding of Corporate Governance Ability to lead a team ensuring it is customer focused and delivers a high quality service Ability to communicate at all levels verbally and in writing in a manner which is clear, fluent and persuasive Demonstrate professional credibility Demonstrate ability to make sound judgements and decision making Ability to interpret national polices and guidance Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, displaying credibility, influence and political acumen with a customer focus approach to problem solving Self-motivated and committed with the ability to work on own initiative Committed, proactive and innovative Effective Team worker Committed to continuous improvement Creative thinker and problem solver Politically astute and high level of integrity Experience Essential Experience within the Healthcare sector at senior management level within the NHS Experience in an outpatients setting Proven track record of monitoring healthcare targets Experience of delivering service change within an NHS setting Experience of managing performance issues Well-developed IT skills, particularly word and excel.
Desirable Experience of reporting on complex performance management information
