Outpatients Clinic Coordinator

Main duties of the job To process outpatient appointments for New patients from GP ERS appointments and arrange for triage with Clinicians.
Book patients appointments and monitor clinics.
To register patients onto waiting lists and generate all associated paper work in adherence with the Trust Outpatient Booking Procedures.
To check incoming email inbox(s) on a daily basis to keep up to date with departmental and Trust wide news and information.
To liaise with and act as a point of contact for queries from clinical and non-clinical staff.
Escalate patient queries, complaints, capacity problems and general issues to the role's line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriate.
To monitor clinician clinics for Opening and closing for Annual Leave and ED cover.
Person specification Knowledge and Experience Clerical and administrative Experience of dealing with the public in person NHS Experience Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems (PAS) Skills and Abilities Ability to prioritise Flexible approach to duties Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to liaise with all disciplines Experience of dealing with difficult conversations Clear and effective communication Ability to embrace change Respectful and Polite Qualifications and Training GCSE Maths and English qualification or equivalent Experience using Microsoft Packages We hope that you will decide to join us and become part of this exciting journey, helping us to shape our future together.
