Outpatients Clinic Coordinator

Job summary o To process outpatient appointments for New patients from GP ERS appointments and arrange for triage with Clinicians.
Book patients appointments and monitor clinicso To register patients onto waiting lists and generate all associated paper work in adherence with the Trust Outpatient Booking Procedureso To check incoming email inbox(s) on a daily basis to keep up to date with departmental and Trust wide news and information Main duties of the job o To liaise with and act as a point of contact for queries from clinical and non-clinical staffo Escalate patient queries, complaints, capacity problems and general issues to the role's line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriateo To monitor clinician clinics for Opening and closing for Annual Leave and ED cover.o To check incoming email inbox(s) on a daily basis to keep up to date with departmental and Trust wide news and information About us University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the country, bringing together a combined workforce of over 13,000 staff and over 100 different clinical services across 10 different sites, serving a core population of more than 500,000 people across South West England.

Person Specification Knowledge and Experience Essential Clerical and administrative Experience of dealing with the public in person NHS Experience Desirable Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems (PAS) Skills and Abilities Essential Ability to prioritise Flexible approach to duties Proven excellent organisational skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to liaise with all disciplines Desirable Experience of dealing with difficult conversations Aptitudes Essential Clear and effective communication Ability to embrace change Respectful and Polite Qualifications and Training Essential GCSE Maths and English qualification or equivalent Desirable Experience using Microsoft Packages
