Teaching Personnel is looking for a confident, friendly and driven Educator to take on the exciting opportunity of an Outdoor Mentor.
Established in 2009, this independent special school caters to 32 pupils aged 11-16, offering small group and individualized learning environments.
This school places a strong emphasis on social and emotional development, fostering success through strong and trusting relationships between staff and pupils.
Its motivational and progressive curriculum is underpinned by the therapeutic principles of THRIVE®, ensuring a supportive and nurturing educational experience.
Responsibilities: Plan and support a range of outdoor and offsite activities that will enable the growth, development and education of pupils with behavioural, emotional and social issues.
Follow school policies and procedures to facilitate the safe running of offsite activities.
You may also be required to deliver lessons onsite.
The desired educator will have: A recognised qualification in support work for teaching and learning in or outside the classroom Experience with special needs.
Safeguarding training (which can be completed through us) Behaviour management experience and or training.
Team Teach or similar courses are valued.
Resilience and patience, demonstrating ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
