Job summary Orthotic Clerk Band 3 Within Therapies we have an exciting opportunity for a band 3 Administrative/Clerical Receptionist to become a member of a team that operates across four departments.
The job involves supporting therapy services to maintain Orthotics appointments across the sites.
Main duties of the job To ensure patients receive appointments within the local and national targets set.To ensure patients and staff receive all relevant information in a timely, accurate and effective way.To ensure all data relating to patients is captured in a timely and accurate manner.
To provide a customer focused booking service.To provide reception services, to relevant areas in a professional, understanding and courteous manner.To follow agreed procedures and protocols.To organise and set up Orthotic clinics including product ordering and invoicing.
About us Pilgrim Hospital is situated beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area.
It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area.
It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment.
From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire.
Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Good General Education GCSE grade C English Desirable IT Certificate Business Admin - NVQ Level 2 or 3 Previous Experience Essential Two years Office/admin experience Working with members of public Desirable Data inputting, Health Service Environment, Working in Orthotic Service or equivalent Knowledge, skills, aptitudes Essential Computer literate Numeracy Skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to complete tasks accurately Ability to meet deadlines & prioritise work Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda.
Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework: Patient Centred, Safety, Compassion, Respect and Excellence Desirable Knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to operate fax/photo copier Knowledge of processing invoices Supervisory skills Specific Requirements Essential Ability to work on own initiative and lead a small team Conscientiousness in standard of work produced.
Flexible working Ability to travel across sites with use of own vehicle Confidentiality, understanding of Data Protection Act.
