Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Organizational Development and Learning in the Human Resources department, the Organizational Development Consultant- Change is a strategic business partner to academic and administrative areas providing change management consultation and organizational development facilitation and support for a broad range of organizational needs.
Focused on organizational change management, the Organizational Development (OD) Consultant assesses/diagnoses the need for change supports and designs, develops, implements, and evaluates targeted change programs. Strategies include change impact assessment, stakeholder analysis, management engagement, change readiness assessment, training and learning aids for skills and knowledge development and facilitating development of operating models. The OD Consultant- Change provides coaching and leadership to college leaders on change leadership. The OD Consultant- Change plays a key role in facilitating the implementation of the College's strategic goals.
Hybrid Work Schedule: Weekly requirement of one office day plus as required for face-to-face workshops/events.
Qualifications: Post-secondary 4-year degree in Business, Change Management, Organizational Development, or a related fieldMaster's degree preferredChange management certification, such as Prosci, is an assetMinimum 7 years' progressive change management experience, including experience in leading and managing large and complex organization-wide change initiativesExperience with change management methodologiesAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredExpert knowledge of and experience in facilitation of adult teaching/learningExperience in design and delivery of leadership development programming including change management learning initiatives preferredProven experience in the diagnosis of organization systems and ability to design and execute appropriate Organizational Development interventions leading to organizational changeAdvanced skills in training, process facilitation, facilitation of large-scale change and transition process, and support to change agentsExperience in various leadership positionsAdvanced skills in leading conflict resolution, project management, process improvement, and problem-solvingClient service, consulting, coaching, and influencing skillsSuperior problem-solving, analytical, presentation and communication skillsUtmost discretion, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality due to exposure to HRIS data, labour relations information, and confidential HR informationDirect experience building and maintaining effective consulting relationships with senior leadersProven ability to lead complex organization-wide projects and initiatives with multiple stakeholdersEducational Credentials: While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory as a condition of employment.
