We have an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist at our Gillingham Surgical Centre (formally known as the Will Adams Treatment Centre) This role is a full-time position, with the main hours being between Mon-Friday but there may be some requirement to work on a Saturday.
This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their skills by working alongside our experienced Ophthalmic Consultants to deliver an outstanding Cataract Service for patients.
Main duties of the job Reporting to our Outpatients Manager, you will be part of a small, forward-looking department with the latest ophthalmic equipment, including IOL Master 700 and the latest edition Humphrey Visual Field Analyser.
Specialist areas offered include cataract surgery pathways, age related macular degeneration assessment and treatment pathways and ocular-plastic pathway.
We will be able to provide training for our Optometrist to be an integral part of our patients cataract pathway, to be able provide a 1st pre-assessment appointment for patients, as well as to provide follow up and routine appointments for our consultant led elective ophthalmic services.
About us As a GOC registered Optometrist, you will have experience in the pre and post assessments of patients referred for refractive surgery alongside knowledge of ophthalmic surgical care provision and of ophthalmic disease.
