Key Responsibilities Responsibility for the Health and Safety of self and colleagues at all times.
Ensure duties regarding Environmental Compliance and Waste Management Licensing Regulations are met at all times.
Ensure that the start and shut down procedures of all machinery is followed as instructed.
Complete start up and shutdown procedure maintaining levels of good housekeeping within work area.
Process waste and operate machinery in accordance with the training and procedures.
Ensure the correct PPE is worn by self and others at all times.
Forklift Operation in accordance with training, processes and procedures.
General Site maintenance.
Complete all administrative paperwork required.
Complete allotted instructions Near Miss reporting.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience of high standard of H&S.
Counter balance FLT trained (however training can be provided).
Proactive and safety focused approach.
Positive and motivated.
Problem solving and solution focussed ability.
Good conflict resolution skills based on a 'Can do' attitude.
Well organised and self-disciplined with the ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure.
Ability to use own initiative.
Ability to learn new systems and new machinery operations.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective and positive working relationships.
Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and adopt a professional approach in all interactions – should be transparent, open and honest in all dealings.
A flexible attitude to the team's work, including a willingness to reprioritise and undertake additional tasks if required.
