Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Operations Support Manager/Assistant Practice Managerto join our dynamic and forward-thinking team at Brookside Group Practice.This role is 32-37 hours per week over 4 or 5 days.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work Wednesdays and Fridays.

About us Brookside Group Practice, part of Earley+ PCN, is a forward-thinking training practice, providing mentorship to individuals to help them realise their full potential.
We are a member of the BOB ICB (Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Integrated Care Board), for which we are rated good and have a history of high QOF achievement.Serving approximately 31,000 patients from our 4 surgeries in Earley, Lower Earley, Winnersh and Wilderness Road, we have a large multi-disciplinary team of around 130 people.
Our collaborative team comprises of Doctors, Physician Associates, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Pharmacists, Primary Care Paramedics, Health & Wellbeing Advisors, MSK Practitioners and Support & Administration staff.We recently won the HSJ (Health Services Journal) Digital Award for our innovative work we've done to refine our triage processes and model of care.Due to our size, we value communication and teamwork.
We operate a strongly relational team structure and endeavour to listen well, encourage ownership and involvement, and enable staff to grow in their individual development.

Job description Job responsibilities Maintain oversight of facilities management related to all sites of Brookside Group Practice.Support negotiations on current and proposed supplier contracts and services.To ensure the computer and phone network and workstations are kept running and maintained.Assist with financial management tasks such as budgeting.Supporting the Senior Operations and Finance Assistant with processes that ensure income is correctly claimed and recorded.Line management for non-clinical managers.Please refer to the uploaded Job Description for full details.
Person Specification Experience Essential Minimum of 2 years experience working with healthcare professionals and/or previous experience in the NHS or social care or relevant field.
Experience of conducting staff appraisals and developing staff team.
Line management experience.
Desirable Experience of working with finances.
Skills Essential Excellent communication skills.
Strong IT skills.
Leadership skills.
Ability to prioritise, delegate and work to deadlines.
Effective time management.
Ability to motivate and train staff.
Desirable Use of EMIS Web.
Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
Qualifications Essential Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills Desirable Educated to degree level in healthcare or business Leadership and/or management qualification
