Operations OfficerKey InformationFarnborough£42,PermanentRob WoodwardOaklands Global are currently recruiting an Operations Officer on behalf of one of our leading clients based in Farnborough.As an Operations Officer, you'll be responsible for coordinating and planning daily operational activities to ensure flights are operated safely, efficiently, and on time.
Reporting to the Ground Operations Manager, you will manage all aspects of flight operations, communication, and administration.Key Responsibilities Flight Operations ManagementPlan, produce, and file company flight and trip plans (flight planning experience is an advantage).Monitor flights via Acropolis Flight Watch, providing updates to internal teams and customers.Arrange handling, overflights, permits, fuel, and airport slots to ensure seamless operations.Customer and Crew CoordinationPrepare customer flight briefs in collaboration with the Charter Sales Manager.Manage crew accommodation, transportation, and scheduling.Communication and CollaborationLiaise with the Technical Department regarding aircraft serviceability.Coordinate with internal departments and customers on operational matters and schedule changes.Administrative ExcellenceMaintain and update flight operations management and scheduling systems.Ensure accurate post-flight record storage and crew records management.Carry out administrative tasks to ensure full compliance with regulations and company standards.RequirementsExperience and KnowledgeAt least two years of recent aviation operations experience, preferably in an airline operational control environmentStrong understanding of flight planning, ETOPS, FTLs, weather reports, and NOTAMsProficiency with aviation-specific software, including flight planning and operational control tools (experience with flight planning is a plus)Skills and AttributesProfessional, customer-focused, and friendly demeanourStrong problem-solving, planning, and organisational abilitiesEffective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and ability to work under pressureEducationEducated to 'A' Level or equivalentWhat's in it for You?Competitive SalaryComprehensive BUPA health insuranceCompetitive pension schemeLife insurance benefitsWork in a professional, collaborative environmentOffice-based role with Monday-to-Friday working hours, providing work-life balance
