Job Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead and enhance their diverse range of services and initiatives.
This pivotal role requires a proactive leader who can ensure the efficient operation of facilities, marketing, fundraising, volunteer management, and outsourced services.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement aligned with the organisations goals.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic and Operational Leadership: Deliver objectives aligned with the organisations business plan.
Ensure adherence to organisational values, principles, and best practices.
Act as the designated Safeguarding Lead.
Promote and embed a culture of continuous improvement across all services.
Service and Project Management: Oversee services including residential care, social clubs, and community projects.
Ensure all services meet contractual obligations and maintain high standards of care.
Produce annual quality assurance reports based on stakeholder feedback.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant legislation.
Investigate and report significant events, accidents, and incidents.
Facilities, Marketing, and Fundraising: Manage facilities to meet operational and legislative requirements.
Oversee marketing and public relations to promote the organisations mission and services.
Support and coordinate fundraising events to ensure successful delivery.
Volunteer and Staff Management: Oversee volunteer engagement for social clubs, ensuring effective support and guidance.
Provide leadership and professional development for staff.
Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and ensure training compliance.
Address performance issues, including grievance and disciplinary matters, in line with organisational policies.
Governance and Compliance: Organise and oversee the organisations Annual General Meeting.
Act as the primary contact for complaints, comments, and compliments, ensuring timely resolution and shared learning.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications: Essential: Education: Level 5 in management or equivalent experience.
Experience: Proven leadership in managing budgets and social care services.
Strong understanding of legislation related to social care delivery.
Extensive HR experience, including performance management and organisational change.
Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
Skills: Strong literacy and numeracy for reporting and budget management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective organisational and time-management skills.
Proven ability to foster partnerships and collaborative working.

Empathetic and enthusiastic about empowering others.
Other Requirements: Full driving license and access to a car for work.
Desirable: Experience in fundraising, marketing, or volunteer management.
