Job summary The University of Suffolk Dental CIC, based in Ipswich, have an exciting opportunity for an operations manager to join their ambitious team on a full-time basis.
The operations manager will oversee all aspects of the daily running of the University of Suffolk Dental CIC social enterprise, ensuring that the clinical services are operating at optimal efficiency and working with the COO to ensure that all regulatory and statutory requirements are met.
As a key member of the management team, the operations manager will also provide strategic support for the business.
Main duties of the job Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dental service, including staff rosters and ensuring full operational capacity of the clinic.
Ensure systems are in place to monitor and evaluate performance against service objectives.
Ensure all safeguarding requirements are met.
Assist in the development, and execute the company operational & business strategy, objectives, and key results.
Develop relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure effective maintenance of equipment and goods & services.
Foster a culture which drives continuous improvement & innovation whilst ensuring the delivery of a high quality, responsive clinical service which meets the needs of the local population.
Develop expertise and day-to-day operational knowledge of the IT systems that underpin the day-to-day operations.
Provide accurate reports and insights to enable strategic decision-making, contributing to the business development plans and evidencing social impact.
Engage proactively with service users and develop the service in collaboration with appropriate representatives and the wider community.
Carry out any other duties which are commensurate with this grade and role.
Manage service budgets on behalf of the COO in conjunction with finance.
Understand and report on the financial implications of contract and legislation changes.
Monitor cash-flow, prepare forecasts and reports for the COO.
Monitor and reconcile income and expenditure statements through the management accounts and manage related invoices.

Person Specification Additional skills: Essential A relevant qualification in business management, or equivalent qualification or experience.
Previous experience within a similar healthcare position.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
Experience of working with external stakeholders.
