We've been retained in the search for a new Operations Manager for a fantastic family business in Tameside.

This role would suit someone happy for a side-step or possibly a step up for a real hands-on Production Manager wanting a new challenge.

You'll be looking for a long-term opportunity, where you can continue growing with the business.
You'll have a lot of in-direct reports, and as such, you'll need to be personable, articulate and methodical in your approach.
It's a must that you've got staff management experience.
It is a big role, and therefore, you should be self-motivated, self-disciplined and have the ability to juggle multiple plates at any one time.
We are wanting to hire someone who is already living in or easily accessible to Greater Manchester – you'll be based on site 5 days per week.
Naturally you'll have a great track record of employer loyalty and ambition.
About The Job You will join as Operations Manager.
The role is available due to succession planning ahead of an impending retirement.
There will be a good handover period.
As Operations Manager, you'll oversee multiple departments including production, finishing, warehousing, sales, quality and facilities/maintenance You'll produce weekly production schedules, monitor quality and ensure H&S standards are met .
You will maintain relationships with overseas suppliers and streamline supply chain processes; negotiating prices, stock management and critical path.
As a collaborative leader, you'll be a mentor to your direct reports and will undertake regular 121's and appraisals.
