Nova Talent is collaborating with a leading UK provider of agronomic advice and product solutions in the agricultural sector.
With a workforce of 400 employees across the UK, this company values its people as its greatest asset and is dedicated to fostering growth for both its employees and the business.
We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join the Distribution Team in the East of England.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to manage and enhance daily operations within the distribution team.
Salary & Benefits: £45,000-£48,000/pa Annual Bonus Scheme Remote working with travel between depots Contributory Pension Scheme Private Medical Cover 33 Days holiday including Bank Holiday Duties include: Develop and implement logistics and distribution strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows across departments.
Address and resolve distribution-related complaints and issues.
Guide, mentor, and develop team members to create a positive and productive work environment.
Prepare and present reports to senior management.
Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
Set and manage the department's budget with effective financial oversight.
Assess performance by analysing data and implementing improvements.
Identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency in operational processes.
Collaborate with logistics, sales, and distribution to develop forecasts, and manage seasonal capacity and resource planning.
Facilitate effective two-way communication across the regional distribution team to maintain a consistent process.
Implement a robust performance management system for regional depot managers and support its application across all depots.
Develop a regional workforce plan addressing succession planning and expanding market presence.
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to exit management.
Support and foster employee wellbeing, involvement, and motivation.
Regularly visit depots to strengthen a unified work culture.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the sales team to achieve optimal customer satisfaction.
An Effective Operations Manager Will Have: Proven experience in a management role within distribution and/or logistics.
Strong understanding of logistics principles and operations.
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
Problem-solving skills with strong analytical thinking.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in logistics software.
Agricultural experience (preferred).
Experience in project and change management (preferred).


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
