Operational Safety Manager – Green Energy – Remote with Travel An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Operational Safety Manager to join a global energy/engineering business that is at the forefront of greener energy production and driving the way towards netzero.
The successful Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to operational safety rules and regulations across the project portfolio in the UK.
You will work closely with various departments to develop and maintain safety protocols, training programs, and oversee compliance with industry standards.
Some key responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain high voltage safety rules and procedures Ensure that regular safety audits and inspections are conducted to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations Ensures that audit findings are addressed in line with business process Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that high voltage equipment is properly maintained and operated Desirable skills: Strong experience in UK high voltage safety management, preferably in an industrial or utility setting In-depth knowledge of high voltage safety regulations, codes, and standards Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Certification in HV safety or related field is preferred Qualified in Electrical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and dedicated professional with a passion for HV safety to set up and maintain this safety infrastructure across the UK operation.
