We will retain the honesty, integrity and trust instilled in our brands by our ground-breaking founders as we embark on the next chapter of our success.What will this role achieve?We are seeking a talented high potential individual reporting into the Operational Excellence Manager, who will help to deliver world class manufacturing operations to a site.
The role is mainly site based but will have a requirement to work along side the Excellence Central Team to support the establishment of a continuous Improvement culture by reducing non-value adding activities across the site and wider business.You will be proactive in supporting the sites Excellence vision, ensuring the site is aligned driving for profitable growth and a standardised approach to Continuous Improvement.What will be your key deliverables?Supporting the facilitating, mentoring and developing teams/individuals at all levels on-site as part of the implementation and successful application of Lean tools.Being an integral part of all site team and therefore a key part of delivering Prime, Overhead and budget targetsWorking closely with the Team Manager's to ensure the ongoing sustainability of Lean tools on site - ensuring that skills levels are maintained and benefits realisedSupporting the communications around Lean processes and results across siteSupporting the site's Lean roll out is consistent with the overall Excellence approachWhilst the role is site based, travel to other sites and supporting projects at other sites should be expected, which will support benchmarking across the both the home site and other pladis sitesSupporting the facilitation of Continuous Improvement Teams across site, in conducting 'narrow and deep' interventions aimed at reducing costSupporting and facilitating lean training courses across the site and if required other pladis sitesSupport the delivery of project(s) which results in a saving (full year) of twice annual excellence support costs.Bring your experienceCrucialMotivated and passionate about Continuous Improvement (CI), with a resilient character – you will be able to empower people!Strong understanding of lean tools & techniques within CI & Leadership elementsTrack record of operating in a Manufacturing / Supply Chain CI cultureInfluencing across all levels on site and the businessPreferredCapex understanding and systemsInsights / HPB - understanding and developing behavioursExperience of managing diversityCommercial AwarenessTotal Productivity Maintenance (TPM) understandingBlack belt qualificationStrong numeracy and literacy skillsStrong IT skills ( MS Office)Time Management (incl Delegation)Team Motivation/FacilitationEffective Communication & presentation skillsChange Management / Sponsorship skillsEffective Project ManagementCoaching toolkit and knowledgeLean six sigma qualifications (green belt minimum) Our Values Purpose led – We're energised and guided by our purpose to bring happiness with every biteAgile – We're ever evolving, we never stand still, always improving for our customers and our consumers.Positive – We're highly motivated optimistic, courageous, and we inspire each other to be better Resilient - We're persistent in the face of setbacks, quick to adapt, learn and move forward Collaborative – We gain strength from operating as one pladis, winning and succeeding togetherBest mix of ingredients pladis is an equal opportunities employer, like every great recipe we're a thoughtful mix.
