Weston-Super-Mare and its surroundings are a wonderful place to live, with beautiful countryside, easy access to Bristol, and direct train services to London, Taunton and Exeter.
The postholder will be an integral part of the General Paediatric service across Weston and Bristol, delivering the short-stay assessment and ambulatory care service at the Seashore Centre weeks as the named service consultant, as well as contributing to the General Paediatrics acute inpatient service in Bristol (likely to be 2 weeks and 2 further weekends a year, TBC) and the trust wide Safeguarding consultant service also based in Bristol (4 weeks a year).
Rapid access clinics and routine general paediatric clinics will be held mostly in Weston-Super-Mare.
The postholder may be asked to deliver some clinics in Bristol to allow patients to access healthcare closer to home.
