All of our work is planned so with us you will be able to apply your knowledge, skills and experience in a pre-arranged, non-emergency care environment, allowing you to focus on delivering a first-class service to your patients Youll be working hours a week over 4 days, with no routine scheduled night work, or working Sundays or bank holidays, youll enjoy a better balance between your work and your home life, as you grow in your role and take your career development just as far and as fast as you want to.
Main duties of the job Youll be a vital part of a professional, friendly and compassionate team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager.
Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings, and youll do everything you can to ensure the patients treatment is of the highest standard.
Youll be responsible for undertaking pre-operative checks, ensuring the effective and accurate handover of patients from the anaesthetic and scrub team and assessing patients appropriately throughout their recovery period.
About us A Registered NMC Nurse or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner, with: experience in anaesthesia and recovery and the extubating and resuscitation of patients competent in IV therapies and catheterisation clinical knowledge of anaesthetics and infection control, alongside your problem-solving skills and ability to think both literally and laterally having a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department What you can expect in return Competitive rates of pay An extensive range of wellbeing and lifestyle benefits Work full time hours over 4 days between Monday and Saturday (3 x shifts and 1 x 9-hour shift) No night work, no Sunday work and no bank holiday work No on-call 25 days holiday increasing with service up to a maximum of 28 days plus bank holidays Mandatory training through our excellent in-house education programme The support you need to grow in your role and continue your professional development Outstanding long-term career opportunities To apply for the role, click on the link below.
