Your Role in the Team: The Payroll Administrator will play a crucial role in client payroll processing team.
This position requires a strong grasp of payroll systems, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Include: - Handle payroll processing in accordance with client specifications using Sage 50cloud Payroll.
- Accurately compute wages, deductions, taxes, and National Insurance contributions.
- Administer monthly and weekly payroll, ensuring timely BACS payments through online banking.
- Maintain precise records of employee payroll information.
- File RTI submissions with HMRC for PAYE compliance.
- Oversee the tracking of timekeeping for payroll through the Work in Progress system.
- Administer auto-enrolment processes and manage pension contribution uploads and payments.
- Complete necessary pension declarations to align with The Pensions Regulator's requirements.
- Ensure all payroll procedures comply with current laws and regulations.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from clients and internal management.
- Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing employees.
- Maintain communication with HMRC as needed.
- Process statutory leave payments, including SSP, SMP, SAP, and SPP.
- Manage payments from the Department for Work and Pensions, such as CSA, Attachment of Earnings, and Student Loans.
- Execute year-end payroll tasks, including P60 preparations and updates for the new tax year.
- Generate financial reports for both clients and management.
- Organize and store documents in client folders appropriately.
What We're Looking For - Payroll/Sage experience is desirable but not essential.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Sage 50cloud Payroll is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficient IT skills in Word and Excel.
