One Stop - Area Manager Norwich

About the role We are looking for an Area Manager in the Norwich area.
This role will be covering Norwich, Ipswich, Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds.
You will be responsible for Leading and line managing a team of Store Managers across our core stores, ensuring regular quality time with them in person.
Modeling a self-serve culture and using available tools to resolve queries, encouraging the team to do the same.
Understanding team dynamics through communication and leading a culture focused on colleague experience.
Visiting all stores regularly, prioritizing certain stores for additional focus when necessary.
Ensuring colleagues are trained and compliant in all aspects of pay and employment, while supporting their well-being.
Reviewing team shape and capability to inspire great performance and create a high-performing team.
Completing all people leadership tasks, including absence management and problem-solving.
Recognizing team contributions and celebrating their performance regularly.
Identifying resource needs and developing talent internally and externally for a diverse talent pipeline.
Leading the delivery of the strategic business plan and people change programs, taking full responsibility for implementation.
Managing all KPIs for the area and partnering with relevant functions to maximize growth and profitability.
Analyzing data effectively to spot trends and turn insights into action.
Collaborating with other Area Managers to share ideas and ensure consistency in operations.
Ensuring customers have a great shopping experience and that the business benefits local communities.
Coaching the team during store visits to maintain excellent retail standards.
Reviewing competitor activity to understand local threats/opportunities and coaching the team to respond.
Leading a robust health and safety culture to ensure customer and colleague safety.
Skills I Need Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Experience in supporting careers and talent development in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of legal accountabilities.
Exceptional communication skills.
Clear sense of ownership and tenacity in resolving issues.
Able to nurture others' thinking rather than simply providing answers.
