Working Pattern: Full-Time 2/2? Rotation - Duration approx.
5 monthsRole SummaryOverall responsibility for safety and welfare of all personnel within the 500 metre zone.
Taking command and control of the installation during emergencies or drills.
Ensuring robust compliance with company interface procedures, emergency response protocols and regulatory documentation.
Application of site SSOW and contractor alignment / interface in line with Project QHSE standards, Company processes and values.
Drive an Incident Free Workplace culture and provide on-site company projects representation, leadership and management to the Projects Team.
As the OIM, you will:?Ensure health, safety and welfare of all onboard personnelAttend and engage in daily operational calls and meetingsEnsure all project personnel actively participate in the project safety management system and any additional safety campaigns which are rolled out Promote and maintain a safe environment for all personnelEnsure full compliance with the Safety Case and all mandatory Policies, Procedures and RegulationsEnsure that decommissioning operations are executed in accordance with regulatory and safety case requirementsProvide implementation and co-ordination of SSOWConduct internal audits / site visits to confirm adherence to SSOWAct as site endorser for any deferrals from company standards and procedures, which should be confirmed and approved by a PD&MS employeeEnsure that all personnel, including 3rd party vendors, have adequate information to perform tasks and that PTW precautions and control measures are adhered toLiaison with Senior Management, both on and offshore, to update on and coordinate project related activities, assessing the impact of any changes to operational activities to either party Oversee the platform project related activities, liaising with the Offshore Construction Supervisors to ensure activities and work scopes are clash free and carried out in line with the project scheduleProvide a comprehensive safety briefing and asset familiarisation for all personnel working offshoreUndertake the responsibility of Incident Commander during emergency response scenarios and drills by mustering locally in the incident command centre and providing specific platform knowledgeOversee decommissioning operations team made up of production technicians to ensure safe isolation of plant and equipment and compliance with relevant project and field procedures and legislationAdhere to the company integrated management systemComply with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policiesEnsure unsafe activities are challenged Adhere to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systemsThe role offersDevelopment opportunities: the opportunity to develop within your structural department, to be appreciated, to work with people who have the same goals and are driven to succeed.

QualificationsBSc or equivalent in relevant engineering disciplineTime Served / Modern Apprenticeship approved by City & Guilds or NVQ/SVQ Level 3, and / or relevant and recognised technical qualification approved by an appropriate awarding body, or appropriate 10 years' experience in discipline / tradeOPITO approved OIM Controlling EmergenciesOil Spill Response Training Level 1OIM Regulations and LegalisationIOSH Managing Safely in the Engineering Construction Industry OR IOSH Managing Safely in ConstructionOPITO Authorised Gas TesterOffshore certificationOGUK Medical Part 2, specific to Offshore ERTExcellent written and spoken English About UsPD&MS has been engineering solutions in the energy industry and beyond since 2002, our ability to combine innovative ideas with technical expertise sets us apart.
