Offshore Construction Superintendent Based in Dubai- Rotational role Excellent salary and benefits offered Job Purpose The Construction Superintendent serves as the offshore focal point for all operations and engineering-led project activities, overseeing construction team operations.
The role is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all employees and contractors under their supervision, maintaining the operational integrity of plant equipment, and ensuring compliance with planned schedules, safety standards, and quality procedures.
The Superintendent also ensures the timely and efficient execution of work scopes within established project parameters.
Responsibilities Lead HSE initiatives and ensure compliance with company HSE policies and systems.
Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with offshore construction activities before implementation.
Lead workpack reviews to address safety, constructability, and quality aspects.
Collaborate with the onshore team to finalize resource and equipment requirements.
Ensure adherence to technical standards, procedures, and sound practices during construction.
Liaise with engineering and planning teams to develop realistic implementation schedules.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to the management team.
Work closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient mobilization and demobilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
Oversee offshore campaign maintenance, refurbishment, and painting activities.
Ensure all offshore personnel are fully briefed and engaged with ongoing construction tasks.
Supervise offshore implementation activities, providing guidance and corrective actions where necessary.
Compile and transmit offshore-generated documentation to onshore teams in a timely manner.
Manage rigging equipment certifications and coordinate with maintenance teams for crane certifications.
Guide multi-disciplinary teams during project phases and delegate responsibilities effectively.
Requirements Diploma or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas field construction or operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary projects in the oil and gas sector.
Strong understanding of safe systems of work, including permits, isolation protocols, and risk assessments.
