The Role The role of Office Manager at Exscientia is varied and offers an exciting opportunity to make a big impact.
The role is part of the Places and Hospitality team, and will help bring the team's strategy to life; building community through the creation of safe and sustainable workspaces, business travel, and internal events.
  We are seeking an Office Manager to manage Exscientia's headquarters in Oxford Science Park.
This role is ideal if you thrive in a people-centric role and enjoy integrating aspects of the hospitality industry into workspaces.
You'll maintain our state-of-the art systems and tech, help to deliver our vision for the Future of Work, and further develop employee and guest experiences.
This role also provides opportunities to work alongside various teams including IT, HR and HSE, amongst others.
Please note this is a temporary position to provide maternity cover for 12 months, ideally starting as soon as possible.
This is a site-based role at Oxford Science Park (OX4 4GE), and occasional travel is required to our office in Milton Park (OX14 4SD ) when additional assistance is required there.
We are a flexible working organisation and we're willing to consider other options which would provide similar contact time with the team.
You will have the opportunity to: Manage the Oxford office to reflect our company mission, support different ways of working, and promote community building at Exscientia.
Ensure that office processes and systems are maintained to provide a seamless work environment for employees and guests; this includes visitor and resource management (eg, desk and meeting room bookings).
Organise and manage internal events, meetings and social gatherings; this includes supporting the EA team and team leaders with team-building and off-site arrangements.
Coordinate on/off boarding for employees in collaboration with the People team.
Manage and build third party supplier relationships to ensure effective maintenance and restocking.
Manage inventory of office supplies, kitchen and snack provisions, incoming/outgoing mail, and other relevant processes.
Collaborate regularly with Health & Safety and Facilities Management teams to ensure the smooth running of the Oxford site.
Requirements Essential 2+ years' experience managing an office or similar corporate or hospitality environment.
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced and/or ambiguous environment.
Keen interest in the Future of Work.
Keen interest in Health, Safety & Environment and Facilities Management, as you will collaborate with these teams daily Creative mindset; someone who enjoys developing something unique and takes pride in their work.
Key team player with a people-centric approach to both projects and everyday work activities.
Desirable Experience managing an office within a managed building.
Experience of customer service within a hospitality environment.
