Position: Ocean Import Operator Location: Castle Donington, Derby Salary: up to £33,000 Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-17:30pm (Hybrid) Our client are an award-winning, independently owned freight forwarding and international logistics business and is now proud to now be the largest employee-owned logistics business in the world and boasts an impressive array of benefits to its staff.
Due to continued growth plans, we are now hiring for an experienced ocean import Operator to join our dedicated Import department based from our East Midlands Branch.
The ideal candidate will have a background working within freight forwarding managing end-to-end ocean import consignments from origin through to final delivery.

Negotiate rates with suppliers to optimise cost-effectiveness for clients.
Select contracts/carriers which best suit the client's needs.
Quote clients and monitor the market rates Monitor shipments status and provide regular updates to clients.
Ensure customs department have the correct documentation for customs clearance.
