Job Title: Occupational Therapist Specialist - Sensory Integration and Autism Support We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Underley Gardens School.
As an Occupational Therapist Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with sensory integration needs and autism.
About the Role: Implement a holistic approach to Occupational Therapy, focusing on sensory integration and autism support.
Develop and deliver tailored interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for students.
Provide training and information to staff, parents, and carers on sensory integration and autism-related topics.
Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and therapy sessions.
Requirements: BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
Registration with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience working with children and young people with autism and sensory integration needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Knowledge of sensory integration principles and practices, with experience in implementing these in a therapeutic setting.
Familiarity with current legislation and policies related to special educational needs and disability.
