Job summary Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist based around the Bath area looking to join a team which is striving to make positive changes?Would you like to work for an organisation where more than 9 out of every 10 of the people who use our services would recommend them?We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent professional to join this unique and specialist rotation working within dynamic multi-disciplinary teams across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES).If you are a current Band 5, a third year studentor looking toreturn to practice we would love to hear from you!This rotation is within specialist services which includes: Falls and Parkinsons Clinic, the Community Neuro and Stroke Service, Early Supported Discharge Team (ESD) and the ward at St Martins Hospital, which includes in-patient stroke rehab.This will be a 9 month rotation into each service.
Some locations provide a 7 day a week service, including bank holidays.
Intervention is completed either in a clinic/ward or within the community setting across Bath and North East Somerset.Your first rotation will be with the team on Sulis Ward at St Martins Hospital.
This is a fast-paced in-patient unit providing both rehabilitation and discharge planning forservice users with complex, multifactorial conditions including stroke.This is a full time opportunity working hours per week on a permanent basis for a rotation.
Main duties of the job In this role you will: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team maintain a high standard of service user focused care - reflecting an inter-disciplinary approach to rehabilitation and a holistic and seamless service.
Develop good communication links with service users and carers and joint working with other services Able to manage complex and sensitive situations, ensuring confidentiality.
