Occupational Therapist Role For Young People With Additional Needs

About the Job We are seeking an enthusiastic and newly qualified Occupational Therapist to join our expanding team at Westbourne School in the East Midlands.
In this role, you will work under the supervision of a senior occupational therapist during a preceptorship year before becoming more independent.
As a registered practitioner, you will be expected to implement a holistic and dynamic approach to helping our pupils in their daily lives while maintaining your professional practice and CPD.
As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will assess and treat individuals within the service, delivering meaningful activities in individual and group environments.
You will also perform screenings and assessments as required, with report writing supported by your supervisor initially.
Additionally, you will provide information and training to staff, commissioners, and other agencies as needed.
Our team includes Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and therapy assistants, working together to create an environment where our pupils can flourish, learn, and develop.
Key Responsibilities: Assess and treat individuals with additional needs Deliver meaningful activities in individual and group settings Perform screenings and assessments as required Write reports with support from your supervisor Provide information and training to staff and agencies Requirements: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY BSc (HONS) degree Registration with the HCPC and RCOT Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Clinical problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders Maintain accurate and legible records according to HCPC and RCOT standards Able to work autonomously and prioritize tasks Good teamwork and motivation skills Flexible to adapt to changing service needs Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle Benefits: A competitive salary of £32,000 - £38,000 per annum A comprehensive benefits package including life assurance and pension scheme options Access to mental health support services and physical health checks Four-day workweek with full pay *Terms and conditions apply Family growth support package including enhanced maternity and paternity leave Selective benefits through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista About Outcomes First Group Outcomes First Group is a leading provider of special education and care services across England and North Wales.
