Job summary 12-month fixed-term to cover maternity is a senior occupational therapy postworking within Emergency Department and Urgent Care Therapy team.
You will take a lead role in the advanced assessment of patients, who may have complex and/or chronic presentation, to determine, therapy treatment and timely discharge planning.
The post holder will also undertake a coordinating role in the delivery of the therapy service within their specific clinical area on a day-to-day basis and this will include the provision of a 7-day service in our clinical specialities.
The post holder will also support junior staff members and students.
Main duties of the job This is a senior occupational therapy post providing clinical support and teaching to rotational band 5 staff, Therapy assistants and students on placement.
You will assist with coordination of the day to day therapy service delivery in your specific clinical area.
