Job summary Senior Occupational Therapist - Band 6Intensive Rehabilitation Service - Salisbury Hours per week - PermanentWe are looking for a qualified Senior Occupational Therapist to join ourIntensive Rehabilitation Service supporting Pathway 2 discharges in the Southof Wiltshire based in Salisbury area.
This service is based within inpatientbed based rehabilitation setting to provide patients an opportunity for focusedrehabilitation after a hospital admission to enable patients to work towardstheir goals.
You will work with amultidisciplinary approach, alongside physiotherapists, assistantpractitioners, rehabilitation support workers, care staff and social workers toensure the patients are supported to work towards their goals, in aim ofreturning home or into another setting.
Main duties of the job As a band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will support the Clinical Lead tolead the team including B5 therapists, Assistant Practitioners andRehabilitation support workers.
You will be involved in supervision andappraisals along with supporting development of the team and serviceimprovement.
There is the opportunity for careerdevelopment, pay progression (Agenda for Change) and NHS pension.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Dip COT/BSc/BSc(Hons)/MSc OT Registered as an OT with the Health and Care Professionals Council Relevant Post graduate qualification Teaching and assessing in clinical practice To possess a current, valid driving licence and to be a competent driver Evidence of continuing professional development Knowledge of legislation affecting professional practice Experience of applying research based information to practice Desirable Non-medical prescriber Leadership and Management training Further qualifications relevant to community practice Awareness of recent Government initiatives that may affect future clinical practice To be knowledgeable of the clinical governance agenda and have an awareness of commissioning Experience Essential Up to date community experience Case management experience Significant experience of working with adults Working with a multi-disciplinary team Leadership experience Teaching experience Knowledge of recruitment, selection & appraisal system Setting and monitoring standards of care Experience within a wide range of patient/client care groups Desirable Profiling community needs and targeting identified health needs of population Evidence of innovative and flexible approach to care and the organisation of care Additional Criteria Essential Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
