Job Description A great new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Dorking, Surrey area.
You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers \n \n This mental hospital provides acute mental health service along with a 3-bedded step-down, community focused ward.
The service supports males of working age, experiencing an acute mental health episode, providing the necessary levels of care required during crises \n \n **To be considered for this position you must have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered** \n \n As the Occupational Therapist your key responsibilities include: \n \n Manages and co-ordinates the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication \n Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis.
Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patients rehabilitation/progress \n Ensures the effective and efficient management of more junior staff \n Maintains and develops close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with company policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards \n Contributes to business growth by actively promoting therapy services in line with the local units' business plan \n Maintains effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient's rehabilitation \n \n \n The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: \n \n Proven experience in mental health and knowledge of the Mental Health Act \n Patient centric & commitment to delivering high quality care \n Fine tuned decision making skills \n Excellent organisational capability \n Effective communication skills \n \n \n The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £38,000 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.
