The post holderwill be required to provide a full range of professional Occupational HealthAdvice and support to the organisation.
They will be expected to be proactivein the management of sickness and absence and the general health and wellbeingof all employees.

Job description Job responsibilities Main duties /Responsibilities- To overseecolleagues carrying out the required pre-employment health screening ofprospective employees including telephone and face to face reviews to providerecommendations for managers in supporting staff with long term healthconditions or disabilities.
The post holder will also be responsible forundertaking assessments of more complex cases.- To beproactive in the implementation of the organisations positive attendance andHealth and Wellbeing policies, including monthly case review meetings withHR/Workforce representatives to work proactively to support staff and managersin preventing recurring sickness episodes.- To providesupport to individual employees to facilitate return to work, advising theorganisation on rehabilitation/reasonable adjustments in the workplace tosustain a successful return to work.- To beresponsible for providing advice and reports to managers and employees inrelation to the role and function of Occupational Health and Wellbeing in theworkplace.- To provideadvice on work place risk assessments in relation to Health and safety with theorganisations Health and Safety Officer, specifically DSE, Stress, Pregnantworker risk assessments.- To supportand liaise with the OH Admin role to manage a case load effectively andproactively based on referrals to the service.- Identifystaff who require specialist assessment with an Occupational Health Physicianand liaise with external OH Services for these referrals.- Deliver anongoing campaign of workplace vaccination for staff as relevant to their role, Hepatitis B vaccination, surveillance and boosters.- To workclosely with external Counselling and Physiotherapy referral services andinternal services for Complementary Therapies for staff and collect data fromstaff satisfaction surveys to assess the quality and benefits for staffwellbeing from these services.- To workclosely with internal and external specialist advisors ensuring appropriatereferrals to access services are completed.- Toparticipate in development and review of all documentation used within OH tomeet the needs of the service.- Support andempower members of staff to use available services, information and skills tothe full and to participate in decisions concerning their care.- To respondand advise managers to provide urgent support for staff who may needintervention to access or receive immediate care or advice.

Person Specification Additional Criteria Essential Excellent communication skills Ability to influence Managers and staff re outcomes.
Experience Essential Previous recent experience in Occupational Health Practice.
Experience of effectively working in a team.
Case Management Qualifications Essential RGN/RMN Occupational Health Qualification or recent equivalent relevant experience Desirable BSC/BA DEGREE in Occupational Health Dip Occupational Health Knowledge Essential Sickness absence management.
DSE/Workplace assessments Pre-employment screening Immunisation programmes experience of delivery and planning.
