Our aim is to equip our young adults with the life and hospitality skills to become work ready, life ready.The main purpose of the role:As an NVQ Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing the competence and skills of our students pursuing NVQ qualifications in the field of hospitality.
Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate learners' performance in accordance with the NVQ standards, ensuring that they meet the required criteria and achieve their learning goals.
This role requires a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and a passion for supporting learners in their professional development.Key duties:Conduct assessments: Perform fair, accurate, and timely assessments of learners' competence in line with the NVQ standards and assessment criteria.Individual learning plans: Develop and implement individualized learning plans for learners, tailoring them to their specific needs and goals.Provide guidance and support: Offer constructive feedback and guidance to learners, helping them identify areas for improvement and providing resources to enhance their skills.Maintain records: Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress reports, and learner achievements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with teaching staff: Work closely with teaching staff to ensure alignment of curriculum and assessment strategies, sharing insights and best practices.Stay updated: Stay informed about industry trends, changes in assessment standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure assessments remain current and relevant.Foster a positive learning environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages learner engagement, motivation, and success.Continuous professional development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance assessment skills and keep abreast of best practices in the field.Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.
