If so, we want to hear from you!We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Nursing Associate to join our established community nursing team in Swadlincote.
This role will provide care for housebound patients in Swadlincote and the surrounding areas.As a Nursing Associate you will be expected to provide community based individualised care to include promoting independence and self care, long-term condition management, venepuncture and medication administration as well as completing various nursing assessments and following treatment regimes.This is a very exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to progress and develop in the role.
There may be an opportunity to apply for the Nursing Apprenticeship programme subject to successful completion of the probationary period.
Main duties of the job Working as a Nursing Associate you will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care putting patients at the heart of everything you do.You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic whilst developing the art of the quality conversation to ensure effective conversation with our patients.For this role you will need to be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other staff and patients.The successful post holder must be able to able to work alone and unsupervised.The post holder will be required to have access to a car to complete patient visits in the community and clinical settings.You must be passionate about our business, creating a culture of continuous improvement, where patient welfare is at the heart of all you do.It will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.

Person Specification Education, Qualifications and Training Essential Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register; (*This is a level 5 Foundation degree specific to Nursing Associate practice) Placement experience working within the 4 fields of nursing Experience and Knowledge Required Essential Understands and acts in line with the NMC professional standards for practice contained within the code Understands the importance of following procedures and treatment plans.
Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
