Deputy Manager The Woodlands Day Care 40 hours per week Salary £35,000 per annum Woodlands Day Care, part of the Family First Group, is looking for a Deputy Manager to join their team and provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, appropriate to their age and stage of development. This role involves working 40 hours per week with various shift patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery (7:00 am - 6:00 pm). This nursery is open all year round and is not a term-time only role. A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification is required. Salary is £35,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Nursery Deputy Manager Main Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery. Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions. Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources appropriate to their age and stage of development. Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency. Inspire the staff team with creative ideas and new challenges to achieve outstanding practice. Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on the EyMan system and on file. Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families. Requirements and Skills for Nursery Deputy Manager: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years - Essential Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential Over 1 year of experience working in a management position - Desirable Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
