Main duties of the job You will be an effective team leader and a positive role model for all members of the team.
The daily responsibility of leadership across Children's Day Services is required, and you will be responsible for ensuring that our services are of the highest quality, safe, effective and focused to our service users, and in guiding and supporting junior staff and support workers in providing excellent care.You will be supported by the Ward Manager and the Senior Children's Nursing Team.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential RSCN/RN Child with current NMC registration Teaching and Assessing qualification Evidence of ongoing dynamic professional development and application to practice APLS/ EPALS or equivalent Previous Experience Essential Sufficient Post-registration experience in general Paediatrics Previous post registration experience within the relevant specialty Experience and evidence of effectiveness in coordinating and managing patient care Ability to prioritise, organise workload and delegate and supervise tasks appropriately Ability to analyse, resolve issues and make sound judgements on clinical issues, using initiative, whilst demonstrating an awareness of own limits Evidence of implementing and managing change Evidence of previous experience and efficacy in mentorship, teaching and assessing Experience of handling adverse incidents and complaints Skills Essential Excellent effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to negotiate, make decisions, organise and prioritise.
