Job summary We are inviting applications for a 12-month secondment from experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated registered nurses with significant post-qualification experience in a Band 5 or 6 position.
The successful candidate will want to improve pressure ulcer prevention for all patients and support quality improvement work in clinical areas.
The successful applicant will support ward staff in pressure ulcer prevention, the management of MASD (moisture associated skin damage) and lower limb care, including the use of compression as well as ensuring appropriate wound care for all inpatients across the Trust, both adults, children and neonates.
Utilising transferable skills to establish and implement plans of care to our patients, as well as providing education and training to patients, their relatives, carers, and staff across the Trust.
This is a very exciting opportunity for the right person to support the work of the Tissue Viability service, to continue to improve the quality of skin care and pressure ulcer prevention within the Trust.
Working clinically with patients, their families, carers and Trust staff is integral within this role and being passionate about improving the patient experience in relation pressure ulcer prevention, MASD, wound care and the management of the lower limb.

Carrying out the assessment of those needs, working with the MDT teams in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of measures to support both the patient, family, carers and staff.
Providing specialist nursing care and advice to a patients and staff.
Contributing to the development and embedding of the quality improvement work of the service across the Trust.
Monitoring and auditing of current pressure ulcer prevention practices and be a driving force for change.
Delivering training and education to patients, family, carers and staff.
Ensuring cost effective use of resources.
The post holder will have good communication and organisational skills and experience within a relevant specialty.
The post holder will ideally have experience in clinical audit/standard setting and service change/change management.
Knowledge, skills, and experience in continence management are essential given the specialty of this team.
