Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hampshire Eating Disorder Team CAMHS for a Band 6 NurseWe are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Nurse to join the Specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder Service in Hampshire.We are looking for a highly motivated practitioner; preferably with experience of working with young people but experience with young adults or adults with eating disorders also relevant.We welcome applications from practitioners who are highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative, flexible and resourceful.The successful applicant will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team with a base in Winchester working with children, young people and families in Hampshire.We are looking to recruit someone who is highly motivated and with a passion for working creatively and collaboratively with children and young people with eating disorders and their families.This is a permanent post and is part of a wider, well established nursing discipline within the county where professional development and innovative work is actively encouraged.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will participate in the assessment, planning, implementation of care and hold a caseload as lead practitioner.
The role will identify and deliver evidence based relevant treatments and interventions; liaising where appropriate with families, carers and the professional network.You will be supported within the team by senior clinicians and will work closely with other specialists within the service.
Clinical supervision and professional leadership will be provided.Excellent team working will be an essential component to the post.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good level of initiative.The post holder will be required to take on other identified responsibilities suitable for the banding.
Experience in systemic working and physical assessment will be an advantage.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered Nurse with current registration mental health, LD or Adult appropriate to the job role Completion of Mentorship Course equivalent Evidence of continuous professional development Experience Essential Significant post qualifying experience in the relevant care group Experience of working alongside people with complex health problems in the designated care group Experience of supervising staff Experience of providing a range of clinical interventions to people in the designated care group with a variety of health problems Experience of working consultatively with professionals Experience of conducting clinical assessments including risk assessments Experience of partnership working within and across various statutory and non statutory teams and agencies Experience of working within the CPA process Understanding of clinical governance Desirable Previous experience of working in the community Contribute to the implementation of services.
