We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.In order to apply to for this position you must have a live pin with the NMC UK.The shift pattern is 12 hour shift rotation over 24/7.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at our National Child Inpatient Unit in the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
Ward 4 is a 6-bed Tier 4 CAMHS ward for children aged 5-12 years, providing assessment and clinical interventions to young people experiencing a range of complex mental health difficulties.
Both full-time and part time posts are available.
The successful applicant will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, or Registered Learning Disability Nurse, preferably with experience of working in an inpatient setting and working with young people and their families.
Although experience working with young people is preferable, it's more important that you have a positive attitude,are conscientious, caring, considerate, compassionate, keen to learn, and able to work towards maintaining a high standard of nursing care to the patients we support.
You will work within a large multidisciplinary team, and play a key role in supporting young people in their recovery.
The post-holder will be responsible for:the assessmentcare-planningimplementation and evaluation of nursing care programmes using a strength-based, recovery-focused approach that proactively involves the young person.
The post holder is required to be able to undertake duties without direct supervision, working in partnership with patients, carers and other professionals/agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
