To support our growing nuclear operations in Saudi Arabia, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Operation Specialist .
This role will play a pivotal part in evaluating vendor proposals, ensuring alignment with international and local regulatory standards, and supporting DNEC's objective of establishing a high-performance nuclear facility.
Directly reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for o verseeing critical aspects of plant operations, performance assessments, and the organization of operational workflows.
Working within the customer's offer review Task Force, you will be i nvolved in initial bid reviews and vendor clarifications, contributing to strategic discussions that shape the project's operational framework.
Key Responsibilities: Vendor Evaluation and Offer Review • Conduct detailed reviews of vendor submissions to assess plant operation plans, performance criteria, and operating organization structures.
• Ensure that vendor proposals meet Owner's specifications , international nuclear standards, and Saudi regulatory requirements.
• Work alongside specialists in HVAC, engineering, and other disciplines to verify proposal consistency and comprehensiveness.
Technical Support and Communication • Provide comprehensive reports on plant operation-related aspects of vendor offers.
• Develop and communicate clarification questions for vendors, ensuring complete understanding of operational specifications.
• Participate in technical discussions and work towards resolving open technical points with selected vendors and their suppliers.
Operational Strategy and Risk Management • Support DNEC in establishing a high-standard operational strategy that aligns with nuclear industry best practices.
• Identify potential operational risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to secure reliable plant performance.
• Ensure project adherence to regulatory and safety standards throughout the procurement and operational phases.
Qualifications and Key Skills • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with a nuclear focus) , or a related field.
• Certified Nuclear Plant Operator qualifications are preferred.
• Minimum 9-15 years of experience, with significant expertise as a Nuclear Plant Operator or Shift Manager.
• Previous experience with organizational oversight or operational management in a nuclear facility is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of nuclear operation performance, operational workflows, and compliance standards • Excellent written and oral communication skills , with the ability to engage effectively in multinational and technical teams.
• Skilled in analyzing complex technical data and fostering strong relationships across diverse teams.
• Familiarity with working in multinational environments, with respect for local customs and cultural considerations.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism.
