Job summary THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 24 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Manager to join the Neuroscience Research Unit at Cardiff and Vale UHB.
To ensure that appropriate data collection and monitoring systems are developed and maintained within the Neuroscience Research Unit.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply Main duties of the job Responsibility for day-to-day management of procedural and financial data associated with the research unit.
To produce accurate and timely reports to assist in monitoring of research activity, invoicing and expenditure against clinical trial activity.
To act a point of liaison with internal and external agencies in respect of a variety of standard and adhoc reports.
To develop, maintain and improve data collection systems and reporting tools within the Neurosciences Research Unit in line with required standards.

Experience Essential Relevant experience in a data collection/ analysis environment.
Production of accurate, complex reports to strict deadlines.
Experience within an information role.

Desirable Knowledge of principles of general management.
Experience in the NHS clinical or research sector to include NHS IT.
Skills Essential Experience in Microsoft Outlook, PMS, Oracle, Clinical Workstation, Clinical Portal.
