Band 6 Occupational Therapist, Chalmers Hospital and Community Rehabilitation, Banff Full time - 37 hours per week ( Part time hours may be considered ) - 1 year fixed term Salary - £39,912 - £48,635 (per annum) An interesting and challenging opportunity has arisen based at Chalmers Hospital Banff.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to be based at Chalmers Hospital in Banff, and cover to Turriff Community Hospital as required.
This post is fixed term to cover maternity leave.
The Occupational Therapy team is part of a well-established Multi-Disciplinary Team in Banff and the post holder will provide full OT assessment and treatment for hospital patients, community rehabilitation, and also respond to urgent assessment in the community to prevent hospital admission.
Multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working is essential for seamless community care, thus the post holder will require excellent communication and organisational skills.
Experience is also essential as there is a wide variety of conditions and complex needs in this patient population.
The post holder will provide clinical supervision and support to a Band 5 OT, as well as supervision and allocation of work to an OT support worker.
Training of students is an integral part of the job, as is service development within the area and the Health and Social Care Partnership Teams.
A valid UK driving licence and a car available for business use is essential for this role, and experience in caseload management and physical rehabilitation in the community is desirable.
