NPCC - Regional Science and Innovation Manager Job description*SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY*Open to serving Police Officers and Police Staff Chief Inspector / Staff equivalentTemporary for 18 months .The Regional Research and Innovation Coordinators (RIC's) and the Research and Innovation Leads (RIL's) play an important conduit into the National Science and Innovation Board (NSIB).
Which in turn is an integral part of the Science and Innovation Coordination Committee (SICC) structure..To strengthen the network the SICC leadership is keen to invest if nine Regional Science and Innovation Managers (RSIMs) .The posts will be for an initial 18 months, reviewable for a further 18-month commitment.
.The resource is to be employed locally within a force in that region.
The role along with potential centralisation will be reviewed after 18 months subject to the wider NPCC police reform activity..The new resource will work directly to the RIC with a dotted line to NSIB.
.The posts will be based at Chief Inspector/Police staff equivalent, substantive or appropriate candidates on temporary promotion.
